2017 Winter Concert

We’re back from holidays, with enthusiastic students once again flooding the YONA hallways as classes commence for the new year! We’re looking forward to another great semester at YONA, with a spring term filled with potential and possibilities. With that being said, let’s close the 2017 year with photos from our YONA Winter Concert!

The Winter Concert opened with two choir pieces: Who Can Sail and Lunar Lullaby. This was followed by the Junior Basses and Violas performing Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Jingle Bells respectively. The String Ensemble dazzled while playing Themes from The Nutcracker and the Wind Ensemble brought the house down with Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, featuring special guest Peter Filice on solo trombone. The grand finale Sleigh Ride was performed by the La Bruyère Orchestra of YONA-Sistema.

The students did an amazing job, both at performing and at introducing each piece. We had a packed house, and the holiday spirit was alive and well. We hope you enjoy these photos from the concert – stay tuned for info on our Spring Concert, which is coming up in March!
