Last week, our YONA-Sistema students put on a final concert for family and friends. The evening showcased several songs - including a couple of choral arrangements and a performance by the students' Teaching Artists - and ended with a medley comprising of many of the pieces the children learned this year. We even had all of the audience up on their feet at one point, as the kids encouraged their families to join in on a choreographed dance. Finally, we were also able to recognize the hard work of our YONA volunteers and teachers in a short tribute, led by three of the students themselves.
It was a wonderful way to commemorate several months of hard work, and we couldn't be prouder of the remarkable progress this group has made. We look forward to all that the fall has in store!
