Yesterday, YONA celebrated Bach’s 332nd birthday by participating in Bach in the Subways, which is a global initiative to bring live classical music into public spaces. This year was YONA’s second time being involved in this event.
Last week was super busy at YONA!
On Tuesday, our new brass students built their very own French horns and trombones out of plastic tubing, funnels, and duct tape!
Thirteen contracts were eagerly signed during out graduation ceremony, in the presence of fellow YONA students, as well as staff, parents, and enthusiastic supporters. Songs about instrument care were sung, beautifully accompanied by our YONA students.
